Introduction

Zinely is a lightweight portrait magazine cover generation tool designed to help you create high-quality, stylish magazine covers with your own portrait photos. We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your personal information secure. Zinely does not require account registration or login—you can start creating covers after installing the app without providing your name, email, phone number, or other identifying details. We minimize data collection and maximize your control.

Information We Do Not Collect

We take your privacy seriously and do not collect unnecessary information. Most importantly:

• Zinely does not collect, store, or process facial information, facial features, or facial data at any time. We do not extract, analyze, or retain facial contours, landmarks, expressions, or similar characteristics from your photos.
• We do not use facial recognition technology to process your images.
• We do not collect location data, contacts, call or message history, browsing history, device identifiers (such as IMEI or advertising IDs) for tracking, or other sensitive data unrelated to the app’s core function.
• We do not track which templates you use beyond what is needed locally on your device to complete your work.

Zinely will never collect, store, share, or sell facial information or facial-feature data. Your portrait photos are used only to create magazine covers on your device; no facial-related data is extracted or retained by our servers.

Information We May Access

The only access Zinely may request is to your device’s photo library or camera, solely so you can upload portrait photos to create covers. We ask only if you explicitly grant permission. If you decline, you can still browse templates and features, but you cannot upload photos until permission is granted.

Even when you allow access, we do not upload your photos to our servers or collect data from those photos—including facial information. Processing (such as compositing and layout) is performed locally on your device. Your images and results stay on your phone or tablet unless you choose to export or share them yourself.

Data Processing and Storage

All processing within Zinely runs on your device: importing photos, template selection, cover composition, and edits. We do not upload your photos or processing results to our servers or third-party analytics platforms for those operations.

Temporary data (e.g. drafts, selections) may be stored locally and can be removed by you. We do not retain facial data from these processes—processing is limited to producing the cover you want.

Your Control

Because we do not collect or store your personal information on our systems in the ways described above, you control data on your device. You may revoke photo or camera access in system settings and delete covers or local data inside the app at any time.

Third-Party Services

Zinely does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data-broker tools for the core cover-creation flow described in this policy. We do not sell your information. No facial information or facial-feature data is shared with third parties through the app’s primary operation as described here.

Note: In-app purchases (if you use them) are processed by Apple; their privacy practices apply to payment and account data they handle. Please review Apple’s privacy policy for those flows.
